This blog is an effort to create better access between a student of college algebra and the instructor.
what do you do after you divide?on #58
ReplyDelete(a) Once you divide the polynomial by the width using synthetic division, your answer is the length...
ReplyDelete(b) For b, you do a proportion problem. The polynomial for length over the polynomial for width = 9/5. Then cross multily and solve for x.
(c) Once you find what x is, plug it in to the polynomials for length and width to find the dimensions.
Hope this helps
